Hi, I'm the owner and founder of Menopositive and here to help you ditch the witch and get classy, sassy and a little bit badassy too.

A whole lot of soul with a pinch of sass, a sprinkling of cheeky and just enough class. Mouth of a sailor with a heart of gold, it’s the perfect combination to be badass, I’m told.

So what is this classy, sassy and a little bit badassy I’ve been preaching about for all this time? Here are my top ten tips for getting on the road to being a badass in menopause.

1 ) Believe in yourself: It’s never too late to pursue your dreams & goals, no matter how big or small.

You have the power to make your dreams a reality if you just believe in yourself and work hard. Take the time to identify your goals, create a plan and take action. You may face obstacles along the way, but with determination and perseverance, you can achieve anything. Believe in yourself and you will be unstoppable.

2 ) Embrace change: Change can be a good thing and it’s important to stay flexible and open-minded to new experiences.

Embracing change is key to personal growth and development. It can help broaden our perspectives, open our minds to new possibilities and provide us with valuable learning experiences. It can also help us stay creative and innovative, so it’s important to remain open to change and not be too quick to resist it.

3 ) Take care of your body: Exercise regularly, eat nutritious foods and get enough sleep.

Taking care of your body is essential for staying healthy and feeling your best. Regular exercise can help to reduce stress, improve your mental clarity and build strong muscles and bones. Eating nutritious foods that are rich in vitamins and nutrients is essential for providing your body with the energy it needs to keep going. Getting enough sleep is also important for helping your body and mind to recharge and restore. By making these simple changes to your lifestyle, you can ensure that you are giving your body the best possible care.

4 ) Practice self-love: Don’t be so hard on yourself and take time to appreciate your strengths and accomplishments.

Self-love is so important. Take some time to slow down and recognise the things that make you unique and special. Celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how big or small. Remind yourself that you are capable of great things and worthy of love and respect. Make sure to take time for yourself to relax and do something that brings you joy. If negative thoughts creep in, take a moment to acknowledge them and then make a conscious effort to replace them with something positive.

5 ) Connect with other badass women. Surround yourself with people who inspire and motivate you.

I think one great way to do this is to join an online community or forum dedicated to empowering and inspiring women. You can also look for local events or meet-up groups that are focused on bringing together like-minded individuals. Additionally, don’t be afraid to reach out to other women you admire in your field or those with similar interests. You can start off by following them on social media and engaging in conversations with them. It might take a bit of time and effort, but it can be a great way to make meaningful connections. Good luck.

6 ) Prioritise your passions: Make time for activities that bring you joy and fulfillment.

Prioritising your passions is a great way to ensure that you are taking care of yourself both mentally and physically. It’s important to take time for yourself, whether it’s reading a book, taking a nature walk, or spending time with friends. When you allocate your time to activities that bring you joy and fulfillment, it can help reduce stress and improve your overall wellbeing. So take some time to figure out what activities bring you joy and make sure to make time for them.

7 ) Speak up for yourself: Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want or to stand up for yourself when necessary.

It is important to remember that having a voice and speaking up for yourself is a sign of strength. It is ok to ask for what you want and to be assertive when needed. Doing so can help you gain the respect of others and show that you are confident and capable. It is also important to remember that it’s ok to take a step back and think about what you want to say before speaking up, so that you can ensure that you are being respectful and clear in your communication.

8 ) Follow your intuition: Trust your gut and be confident in your decisions.

Following your intuition can be a great way to make decisions, as it allows you to trust your own judgement and stay true to yourself. However, it is important to remember that there may be other factors to consider before making a decision. It is also important to be confident in yourself and your decisions but also to be open to new ideas and feedback from people you trust. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide which path to take, but when in doubt, trust your gut and be confident in yourself.

9 ) Set boundaries: Respect your own needs and don’t be afraid to say “no” when necessary.

Setting boundaries is a great way to ensure that you’re taking care of yourself. It’s important to recognise when you need some space or need to take a break from something, and to not be afraid to express that. It can be hard to say no to people, but it’s important to remember that your needs come first. Respect your own feelings and decisions and don’t be afraid to put your own needs first.  One of the main causes of unnecessary drama is bad boundaries.

10 ) Celebrate your accomplishments: Always look back and recognise how far you’ve come.

Celebrating my accomplishments is something I’m proud to do. I’m grateful for all the hard work I’ve put in to get where I am today. It’s amazing to look back and reflect on the progress I’ve made and all the difficult challenges I’ve faced. I’m proud to have achieved so much and I’m thankful for the support I’ve received to help me get here.

I’m feeling generous so still offering the gift of the journal for beginners from the link below so you can map out your Badass journey.  The response I’ve had for it so far has been amazing, so thank you to everyone who already signed up for it.  For those with FOMO, here is the link again.
